High frequency unit generates high voltage of 10-100kV with frequency around 400 kHz. This voltage applied to glass electrode filled with the gas Argon and Neon. Free electrons inside the gas start to move at a high speed, producing an electric current in the gas. Since the current of the generator is very low (10-15 mA) the unit is safe to use.
